Gig round-up: Joan Jett, The Rags, Booker T, Spoon, Supertramp

Joan Jett and the Blackhearts have been added to the bill for Green Day’s show at Marley Park on June 23rd.

Booker T plays Cork Opera House (May 31st) and The Village in Dublin (June 1st).

The Rags launch their debut album A National Light at Whelan’s on May 29th.

Spoon have confirmed an Irish date as part of a European tour later this year. The Texan indie rock band will play the Academy, Dublin on Thursday 18 November. Tickets priced €25 incl. booking fee are on sale from this Monday 26th April.

    It is very unfortunate that quite a few adverts for the upcoming Supertramp tour have used videos of co-founder Roger Hodgson, his photos, and his voice. This if very misleading for fans. Roger has not been with Supertramp since 1983 and he was not asked to join this “anniversary” tour. Roger sang and solely wrote and composed the great majority of Supertramp’s hits to include Breakfast in America, Dreamer, The Logical Song, Give a Little Bit, School, Fool’s Overture, It’s Raining Again, and so very many more.
