The third Heineken Green Synergy music festival is taking place this week from the 12th -16th November around the Camden Street area in Tripod, Village, Whelans, Anseo, Solas and Shine.
Described by NME as ‘Forward-thinking young guitar-slingers…turbo-charged, noisy and downright promising’, indie rock trio Johnny Foreigner hit Whelans on Wednesday November 12th with tracks from their debut album Waited Up ‘Til It Was Light. Kerrang!, which gave 4/5 to the album, described it as “‘¦a breathless, deathless rush of possibilities, Ritilan rock exploding with ideas and imagination.” State was similarly impressed and we feature them in this very issue.
Support comes from Thomas Tantrum, a Southampton quartet whose infectious pop is already being championed by Glasvegas and Lily Allen.
As the countdown continues to the third installment of the Heineken Green Synergy Festival, we have two passes to Johnny Foreigner at Whelans, Dublin on Wednesday 12th November to giveaway compliments of Heineken.
