Glen Hansard to release debut album in June

It’s been a busy year for The Frames singer and half of folk-rock duo The Swell Season, Glen Hansard: he wrote two songs for The Hunger Games OST, he’s promoting Once,The Musical (adapted from the movie screenplay) which opened in March on Broadway and on June 15th, he is releasing his first solo album, Rhythm And Repose on Plateau Records.

The album was recorded in New York by Patrick Dilett (David Byrne, Laurie Anderson) and produced by Thomas Barlett (The National, Antony and the Johnsons). It features, amongst others, Brad Albetta (Martha Wainwright) on bass, Nico Muhly and Rob Moose (Bon Iver) on strings, David Mansfield (Dylan’s Rolling Thunder Tour) on slide guitar and half of Bruce Springsteen current horn section. There will also be vocal participations from Cristin Milioti (Once, The Musical) and Marketa Irglova.
