Irish buyer for $3million music collection claiming stolen identity

$3million music collection

Last week, we told you about the winning bid for the $3million music collection by an irish user called jopsoup. After a bit of googling, we narrowed it the user down to a 23 year old Thumped user from Galway.

The owner of the collection’s agent, J. Paul Henderson announced over the weekend that the winning bid had been a fraud. The fraudulent bid emerged when “jopsoup” received an e-mail invoice outlining the purchase, to which he claimed no knowledge of. He then contacted eBay to inform them of stolen identity and his jopsoup account was immediately suspended.

In the meantime, Mawhinney plans to re-list the collection offline in private with screened bidders.
