Isle of Wight Festival and Bestival to be broadcast in 3D

Isle of Wight Festival 2011 will become the first music festival ever to be broadcast in 3D. Both the Isle of Wight Festival in June and September’s Bestival will be transmitted on Sky Arts and Sky Arts 3D.

Sky Arts 1 HD will also cover Download, Hard Rock Calling, Latitude, Lovebox, High Voltage, Cambridge Folk Festival, Camp Bestival, Sonisphere, Cropredy and Rewind.

We are particularly excited about Bestival and the Isle of Wight festivals, where we’ll break new ground by bringing them to the life through 3D. Broadcasting live in 3D is an amazing opportunity to bring viewers closer than ever to the real festival experience.”

Kings of Leon, Kasabian, Foo Fighters, Plan B and Pulp are among the artists set to play the Isle Of Wight festival.

Blondie, Mark Ronson and the Business Intl, House Of Pain, Katy B, Clare Maguire and Eliza Doolittle will play Bestival.
