James Blake announces residency gigs in London’s Old St Pancras church

The hotly tipped London-based artist has been receiving momentous accolades from the media of late with some factions comparing him to -the actual messiah- high praise indeed to live up to for the singer-songwriter and producer.

James is set to play four shows at the London’s Old St Pancras church (one of the oldest Christian worshiping sites in the UK) on February 10/24 and March 10/ 24 with limited details of the gigs appearing on his Facebook page.

In a recent interview with Clashmusic James discussed his love of playing live and in studio:

Playing on my own yields this creative satisfaction, while playing to a crowd, delivering that music to people later on, it’s another kind of satisfaction, it’s a gratification. Playing ‘Limit to Your Love’ to people has been utterly unreal and slightly surreal, and glorious. Glorious moments of standing there in front of people, arms out, at the apex of this thing.

His self-titled album will be released on February 7 and you can watch clips of him performing “The Wilhelm Scream”, “Lindsfarme”, and his BNT’d Feist cover “Limit to Your Love” for the BBC below.
