Jamie xx, Mark Ronson, Chic, The Roots and more to perform at new Dublin festival

Looks like summer isn’t the only time for music festivals in Ireland anymore! POD and Hidden Agenda have just announced the new Metropolis Festival, which will feature one of the best line-ups we’ve seen in some time. Taking place in the RDS (indoors, so no need for wellies or rain ponchos) on November 7th & 8th, and over those two days you’ll get to experience these folk and a whole lot more:

– Jamie xx (whose album we LOVED)

– Mark Ronson (ditto)

– Chic featuring Nile Rodgers

– The Roots

– Giorgio Moroder

– Todd Terje

– Jeff Mills

– Tiga

– Kormac’s Big Band

There’s also “conversations” taking place with a handpicked panel of creative folk, as well as art and lighting installations which will completely transform the arena into what is being call The Mother City. If any of this interests you, and of course it should, early-bird weekend tickets go on sale this Friday 24th July at 9am from €99.50 via Ticketmaster and usual outlets.
