Kasabian for Oxegen 2010?

Kasbian have been announced as the first headliner for next year’s T in the Park, the sister festival to our own Oxegen. If things go to the form of recent years, that should mean that July will see them fulfill the same role at Punchestown. Early bird tickets for the festival go on sale tomorrow (Friday 4th) at the following prices:

3 Day Tickets (Friday-Sunday) / No Camping: €179.50
3 Day Tickets (Friday-Sunday / Camping: €199.50
4 day Tickets (Thursday-Sunday) / Camping: €219.50

At the end of the gig last Friday I thought I heard Tom Meighan shout, “see you at Oxegen!” I’m not sure though.

Well that’s all you need really. Kings of Leon, The Killers & Kasabian. That’s yer Oxe 10 right there.

Can’t say I think they’re headline material to be honest. Do they really have the same pulling power here as Brandon Flowers’ crowd or Green Day?

  • Patrick Conboy

Well the packed out the O2 no problem. They’re bloody good live too, so in that sense they’re better than the Killers!

  • Edith

yes they are definitely booked for oxegen. Tom Meighan confirmed that at the O2 gig.
also the Strokes are already announced for some of the UK festivals… and Muse as well.

KOL were a let down in 2009 like, killers & snow patrol were amazing & kasabians just unreal!

  • kit

oh dear god not kol again!! i really hope they change it!! this would be their 4th year in a row- they cant play at it again!! neither should the killers or snow patrol!! my ideal line up would be-

    David bowie
    The Strokes

  • Patrick Conboy

Kit, The Strokes have started work on a new album so they just may be out on the road in time for summer! Bowie would be an amazing addition but I’m not sure he has plans to tour…
