Kate Bush Returning to The Stage After 35 Years

We’re not suggesting you attempt to muster up a list of newsworthy events over the last 35 years, but chances are that Kate Bush’s return to live performance would be in the top 20 of most music lovers’.

The elusive, enigmatic and exquisitely talented force behind ‘Wuthering Heights’ and ‘Hounds of Love’ is returning to the stage for her first live performances in many of our lifetimes. Announcing a 15-date residency in London’s Hammersmith Apollo – kicking off on August 26th – Bush has chosen to dispel any notion that she has jettisoned live music from her life. The 55-year old vocal acrobat has been sporadically releasing albums over the last number of years – the most recent of which, 50 Words For Snow, coming out in 2011 – without touring. Many fans genuinely gave up hope of seeing her live and this in itself has led to countless rumours pertaining to why she shunned the stage.

Well, rumour no more; Kate Bush is back in the world of live music and tickets are effectively guaranteed to be as rare as her appearances. They go on sale next Friday (March 28th) and if you’re lucky enough to get your hands on one prepare for a performance in a life time.
