Leon Bridges comes to Dublin this September

Fans of old-school soul with a very modern twist will be happy to hear that the immensely talented Leon Bridges will be headlining at Whelan’s on September 25th. Tickets are on sale now for €21 and you can expect a night filled with all of the R’n’B smoothness from Bridges’ critically adored debut album Coming Home. Produced by Austin Jenkins and Josh Block of White Denim, the album garnered Bridges comparisons to the likes of Otis Redding and Sam Cooke, won him the Grulke Prize for Excellence at this year’s SXSW festival, and spawned his hit track “Coming Home”, which went on to become a Top 10 Most Viral Track on Spotify.

If you’d like to get a taster of what he’s got in store for his Whelan’s gig, you can catch Leon Bridges at this year’s Longitude as he’ll be performing on Friday July 17th as part of the weekend long festival.
