Leonard Cohen Announces Irish Dates

Leonard Cohen is to return to Ireland this summer for three gigs. The legendary songwriter will play The O2, Dublin, on July 19 and 20, and The Odyssey Arena, Belfast, on July 26.

His dates last year at The Royal Hospital, Kilmainham, were heralded as “a cultural event of Biblical dimensions”, so the new dates are expected to sell out ultra-fast. Voted Best International Live Performance at this years’ Meteor Awards, Cohen’s three sold out Irish dates broke sales records as the fastest selling concert of all time and garnered 5 star reviews across the board. Tickets will go on sale Friday 3rd April 2009 (Belfast) at 9am and Tuesday 7th April 2009 (Dublin) at 9am, priced at €90, €110 & €125, and will be available from Ticketmaster and usual outlets nationwide.

This is a very inspiring number and his band as well as Mr. Cohen himself are incredibly talented and expressive, especially that Mr. Soldo.
