Lily Allen to play Dublin in March

Lily Allen will play The Academy on the 16th March which will be her first ever Irish gig. Tickets for Lilly’s only Irish date next year go on sale Tuesday 2nd December priced at €33.00 including booking fee. Note the pretty high price.

Lily Allen’s second album It’s Not Me, It’s You which will be released in early 2009 purports to showcase a “darker, mopre mature and dancier” sound. On it, Allen tackles the topics of racism (‘Fuck You’); Ageism (’22’); the dark side of celebrity and consumer culture (‘The Fear’); drug dependency (‘Everyone’s At It’); and 9/11 (‘Him’); TV dinners (‘Chinese’); premature ejaculation (‘Not Fair’); the enduring rubbishness of men (‘Never Gonna Happen’), as well as the fragile beauty of early romance (‘Who’d Have Known’).
