Lily Allen’s record company, In The Name Of, has won financial back from Sony. The ‘Not Fair’ singer will reportedly have a £100,000 salary and wherewithal to set up and office and hire staff including a team of A&R scouts. Already on the books are State favorites Cults – a promising start.
Since her withdrawal from being a recording artist Lily has set up a clothing hire shop, Lucy In Disguise, with her sister Sarah but has always maintained an interest in music business.
”I’m setting up a record label at the moment, getting involved in lots of different things. I think things need to change in the music industry and we need to rethink a lot of stuff.”
