Listen to Janelle Monae protest song ‘Hell You Talmbout’

Today sees the release of The Eephus, a concept album showcasing the artists signed to Janelle Monae’s label Wondaland. However, earlier this week, Monae and co. led a march in Philadelphia protesting police brutality, and then on Thursday, performed at the Black Lives Matter protest in Times Square in New York.

‘Hell You Talmbout’ sees Monae chant the names of the victims of black Americans killed by the police and others over the last few years. Roman Gian-Arthur, George 2.0, St. Beauty, Deep Cotton and Jidenna take turns with The Archandroid over the drum-line for this powerful track.
