M83 to support Kings of Leon on December tour

We can’t say we didn’t see it coming. In our cover story this month, Jared Followill mentioned M83 as one of the bands that he was listening to a lot before recording Only By The Night.

Now, Pitchfork reports the French electro-yearners will support KOL on all their European December dates. So that means then that M83 are the first band to play the new O2? Awesome.

Those dates in full:

2nd Nottingham, England – Trent FM Arena
4th Newcastle, England – Metro Arena
5thSheffield, England – Sheffield Arena
7th Glasgow, Scotland – SECC
8th Liverpool, England – Echo Arena
10th Birmingham, England – NIA

not crazy about KoL, but seeing m83 open in the new 02 would’ve been pretty amazing
unfortunately tickets were pretty much sold out before going on sale thanks to KoL’s ridiculously huge fanbase in this country
thankfully i already have a ticket for m83’s vicar street show 🙂
