MP3: Tindersticks – The Flicker of a Little Girl

Tindersticks

Drawn from their first album in five years and seventh studio album in total, the newly stripped down Tindersticks are now operating as a three piece. The personality and character of Stuart Staples still shines through on ‘The Flicker of a Little Girl’ however. Backed by a lulling mix of flute, guitar and piano, it’s a song that is reminiscent of Nick Drake crossed with the mood splashed across Goldfrapp’s Seventh Tree: a distant autumnal memory.

The soon to be released album is called The Hungry Saw and is released on Beggars Banquet on May 2nd.
