The School’s sound is dreamy, sunshine soaked indie-pop with a naive ’60s feel-good vibe. The Welsh octet incorporate many instruments like keyboards, trumpets and glockenspiel to receate their pastoral ditties.
The main vocalist Liz helps create the warm fuzzy feeling (similar to falling in love or sipping a lemsip with a heavy cold because really those two things are not mutually exclusive) you get when listening to this record. Likeable as it is however, you may find the song a little sickly sweet after a while but stick it on and you may just forget it’s pissing down in the middle of June, if only for 3 minutes and 9 seconds.
Oh, and just in case you were wondering, all she wants to do… is hang around with you.
