As part of a series of special shows they are planning for the summer, Mumford & Sons will be playing along with friends for ‘Gentleman Of The Road Stopover …’ at Salthill Park, Salthill, Galway, on Saturday 9th June. The line-up for the night will feature performances from The Vaccines, Willy Mason, Zulu Winter, Nathaniel Rateliff, and The Correspondents.
For Mumford & Sons these shows are about sharing and discovering the culture of smaller cities: ‘We want to stop off in towns not usually heavily toured by bands, and celebrate the people, food and music that inhabit them’.
The band wants also to make this event a good push for the economy of the town:
‘We’re keen to promote the town’s local businesses, and we’ll be using the local bars and venues for aftershow parties, whilst working closely with the local people to get everyone involved in making these shows spectacular’.
Tickets will be available from 9am on April 21st on Musicglue.com and local outlets. Tickets cost €49.50
