Bell X1 – Iveagh Gardens, 19th July
Bell X1 are the latest act to announce a gig at Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens this summer. Kildare’s finest indie veterans will play the D2 venue on Saturday, 13th July in support of their new album, Chop Chop, which is released on 29th June. The band previously announced gigs at the National Concert Hall and as part of Cork’s Live at the Marquee spate, and have released ‘Starlings Over Brighton Pier’ to tide you over until the release of their sixth – yes, sixth! – album.

Ham Sandwich – Eyre Square, 13th March
Ham Sandwich will be performing a pop-up acoustic set at Galway’s Eyre Square this Wednesday, during which they will play ‘Models’, their contribution to Discover Ireland’s 2013 campaign. The Meath band will also be stripping back the rest of their acclaimed 2010 LP (and seventh best album of State’s lifetime), White Fox, for the occasion.
SOAK – Pepper Canister Church, 19th June
State cover (photo) star SOAK has just announced a gig at Dublin’s Pepper Canister Church on 19th June. The Derry teenager, better known to her mother as Bridie Monds-Watson, is coming off her much-touted performance at Other Voices as well as supporting Snow Patrol during their recent dates at Belfast’s Waterfront Hall.
