Klaxons debuted a new song on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio show tonight with a website stream appearing half an hour later. ‘Flashover’ is the the first taste of new material and it’s been a long time coming. Myths of the Near Future was released in 2007 and the band were purportedly told to re-record parts of their second album by their record label Polydor which considered the album too experimental.
‘Flashover’ is an aggressive-sounding number with Klaxons’ trademark vocal styles intact. It’s no surprise the band have left behind the nu-rave sound that defined them (It was three years ago after all).
