New Massive Attack – Splitting the Atom

Zane Lowe premiered a new Massive Attack song ‘Splitting the Atom’ on BBC Radio One last night. It’s taken from a new EP Splitting the Atom out in October with an album to follow in February.

The EP looks like this:
1. Splitting the Atom featuring 3D, Daddy G and Horace Andy
2. Pray For Rain featuring Tunde Adebimpe (TV On The Radio)
3. Psyche ( Van Rivers & The Subliminal Kid remix) featuring Martina Topley Bird
4. Bulletproof Love (Christoff Berg remix) featuring Guy Garvey (Elbow)

  • I couldn’t be more happy, even if it is an EP. I really like Martina Topley Bird, so to hear that she will be on the EP makes me really excited!

i love martina too, but after the show last week at brixton, i hate to say but i think del naja and daddy g are just going through the motions or they dont know which way to go. the new material just plods or relies on dogma and industrial beats from the 80s. what happened to the melody? red light from last tour? all very pedestrian and not what we expect from the pioneers…hope its not too late for them to change.

  • That sounds a shame. Anyone else there?
