New monthly gig swap/networking event starts tonight at the Workman’s, Dublin

Choorpy Connect, a new monthly initiative set up to allow musicians to meet each other as well as industry professionals, begins this evening in the Workman’s Club, Dublin, featuring a keynote address from Pete Holidai – a longtime adherent of all things musical in Ireland and former member of Punk band The Radiators from Space.  Following this, there will be a gig swap that will see Dublin natives Heroes In Hiding being supported by Belfast’s Sons of Caliber, with an aim to continue a trend for showcasing bands of similar styles to the fans of their counterpart artists.  A nifty idea, you might say.  Tickets and details for the event can be found here, with a percentage of the evening’s proceeds being donated to Irish children’s charity Bumbleance.
