Ciaran Lavery & Ryan Vail, two artists who make very different music have come together to create and release Sea Legs, a mini album of seven tracks inspired by the rugged, isolated coastlines of Donegal (where the record was recorded) and the inhabitants’ lives. Ciaran, an alt-folk singer from Aghagallon who has racked up an impressive 11 million hits on Spotify and Ryan Vail, a minimal electronic artist who creates widescreen soundscapes with piano, synthesiser and sampled found sound have truly captured something unique with Sea Legs, a blend of ambient, sampled tracks and melodic vocals. Expect shivers. Released this coming April 17th, Lavery and Vail will play one of three album launches on April 16th at Smock Alley, Dublin (in association with Home Beat). Preorder the album here and whet your whistle by listening to single ‘The Colour Blue’.
