Barely a year has passed since Lana Del Rey released her hit album Ultraviolence, but she’s already well on the way to releasing album number four. While there’s not much known about who else might be involved – last time Del Rey hooked up with producers Greg Kurstin and Paul Epworth, but there’s rumours than Mark Ronson might be involved this time round – but outside of that, info is light on the ground.
However, Lana has just released the first single and title track from the new album, and has stated that Honeymoon will sound more like her 2012 album Born To Die, adding: “I’m kind of enjoying sinking into this more noirish feel for this one. It’s been good.” She also plans to cover “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood”, previously covered by none other than Nina Simone. Expect all of this and a whole lot more when Honeymoon is released in full this September.
