New Order and Happy Mondays headline new Belfast festival

This year sees the centenary of the sinking of the Titanic and to mark the event the city of Belfast is hosting a series of events, both historical and cultural. Of particular interest to State readers will be the Titanic Lockdown festival, taking place on 1st / 2nd June at T13 (Urban Sports Park & Shared Cultural Space) and overlooked by Harland & Wolff’s iconic Samson & Goliath cranes.

The line-up so far features New Order and Happy Mondays as headliners, with support from Anna Calvi, Ghostpoet, Factory Floor, Errors and Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry’. Festival tickets will first become exclusively available at the all-day Titanic Lockdown launch festival on 31st March – the opening day of Titanic Belfast – and will go on general release on Monday 2nd April at www.titanic-lockdown.com and all ticketmaster outlets.
