Nokia announces 3D Stage at Oxegen

At this year’s Oxegen Festival, Nokia’s new stage will include a huge 100-square-metre-wide HD screen, displaying a festival TV channel during the days and a 3D audio-visual show in the evenings.

Starting at noon each day, the screen will play Nokia Festival TV, a live video jukebox in which festival-goers can text requests and messages to be displayed on the big screen. Fans can also make requests for Nokia Festival TV prior to the festival with the Nokia Live Stage Facebook page. Festival TV will screen exclusive interviews, live performances, and behind the scenes features as well.

Then each night from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. the screen will turn into a 3D Disco, with visual DJ sets and visual mash-ups of festival videos and movies. DJs will include MTV’s Eclectic Method, 3D Disco, Arveene and Misk, thesmokeeaters, Dave Davin, Brian Maher, JB the Deejay, Lorcan Mak and Propaganda DJs.

To experience this 3D show, festival-goers should pick up specially designed 3D glasses at the Nokia Pop-up Store (11 Grafton Street, Dublin 2) starting Tuesday June 29th. Only a limited number will be available on Thursday, July 8th at Oxegen.
