Odd Future incite “near riot” at Boston in-store appearance

Tyler, The Creator and Odd Future continue to raise their profile with an in-store appearance at Boston’s Newbury Comics that caused a crowd frenzy and police to get involved.

Tyler fans were issued with wrist bands to enter the store for a signing session but hundreds turned up without wrist bands, resulting in the street being shut down due to the crowds. Some of the Odd Future crew took to the rooftops, inciting the crowd to what Fox News reported as a “near riot”. A thirteen yar old girl was arrested for disorderly conduct and a policeman hospitalised when he slipped and hurt his back.

Tyler, Creator has just released his second LP Goblin and was in Boston to play a show at The Paradise Club.

Here’s Ted Daniel for Fox News.
