Once A Month Club launches May 14th

The Academy 2 in association with FMC presents The Once A Month Club, a new monthly club night starting this May mixing some of Ireland’s best acts with the hottest new emerging talent.

The club takes place on the second Thursday every month, kicking off on May 14th with Limerick’s Giveamanakick. Set up to give up and coming Irish acts a chance to showcase their sounds and share a stage with already established artists, the night will, more importantly, benefit two very worthy causes with all profits going to Special Olympics Ireland and Pieta House – Centre for the Prevention of Self-Harm or Suicide.

Every month, a well known headline act will be announced who have agreed to lend time to help emerging bands from around the country. Tickets can be bought in advance through Ticketmaster or on the door for €5.

Musicians looking to flog their wears can also come along on the night and sell their own music through the new music stall, which is open to anyone attending. Joining GAMAK on the opening night will be Adebisi Shank, Revolution for Dogs and Deaf Animal Orchestra.

The Once A Month Club kicks off at The Academy 2 on Thursday 14 May. Tickets priced €5 are available from all usual Ticketmaster outlets with all proceeds being donated to Special Olympics Ireland and Pieta House.
