Other Voices line-up announced

Other Voices returns for a sixth series to RTE Two on Wednesday 13th of February.

Recorded in St James’ Church Dingle, Co Kerry, in early December, highlights include Cathy Davey, Halfset, Super Furries, Seasick Steve, Ray Davies, Fight like Apes and Candie Payne.

Doesn’t look like there will be anything to rival Asian Dub Foundation from Series 4. One of the most surreal slices of Irish music television of the last five years…ADF in a church in Dingle to a largely seated audience. Watch it here (Skip to 16mins).

2FM’s Jenny Huston also joined the cast of Other Voices this year as a roving presenter alongside anchor presenter and master of ceremonies John Kelly. She will present interviews and performances with David Geraghty, Adrian Crowley, Halfset, Dry County, Jenny Lindfors and Mick Flannery – artists who performed at a closed location in Dingle as part of a new element in this year’s Other Voices recordings.
