Safety notice from Oxegen promoters:

Age Limit
Please note that under 17s must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 25 who will sign for and accept responsibility for said person. Under 17s who do not comply with this will not be admitted and will not get a refund. Everyone will be expected to provide proof of age; a passport, Drivers Licence or Garda ID is accepted. Official school and college ID accepted with colour photocopy of passport. ID is necessary for over 18s to purchase alcohol. NO ENTRY NO REFUND.

Dates & Times
The campsite will open at 12 noon on Thursday July 10th and will close at 6pm Monday July 14th. Carparks will open at 10am on July 10th and will close at 6pm on July 14th. Between these times the campsite and carparks will be open 24hrs. The arena will open at 5pm on Friday July 11th and 1.30pm Saturday July 12th and Sunday July 13th.

Tickets
Please note you need a four day camping ticket or a Thursday upgrade to camp on Thursday night. Upgrades will be available until 10pm Tuesday July 8th from usual Ticketmaster outlets. Please do not arrive on site without the appropriate ticket as you will not be allowed in. Please don’t buy tickets from unauthorised sources as they may be forgeries.

Transport
Do your bit for the environment and use public transport.

Weekend Camping
Festival goers buying four weekend camping tickets for OXEGEN 2008 can claim a free car park pass. Campers camping in the Red Campsite should choose the Red Cark and those in the Blue Campsite should choose the Blue Carpark. Alternatively purchase a Car Park pass in advance for €20 or on site when you arrive for €30. Passes are limited and issued on a first come, first served basis.

Day Tickets
The park and ride initiative is just one of the many ways in which OXEGEN encourages a more environmentally friendly approach to festival going. There are two Park and Ride sites (Goffs and Newhall) for this year’s Oxegen:

PARK AND RIDE GOFFS (OFF JUNCTION 8, N7) PARK AND RIDE NEWHALL (OFF JUNCTION 10, M7) If you do not have a car park pass simply drive to, or get dropped off at, the OXEGEN Park and Ride sites, and take the free shuttle bus to OXEGEN.

Please note there are no drop off and pick up facilities on the OXEGEN site for private cars all drop offs and pick ups are at the Goffs Park and Ride Site.

Approach Routes to Punchestown
Please plan in advance how you will get to and from OXEGEN.

There are two traffic routes to Oxegen signposted either “Oxegen Red Route” or “Oxegen Blue Route”.
Remember, if you have a Red Camping Ticket take the Red Route to Red Car Park and Red Campsite.
If you have a Blue Camping Ticket take the Blue Route to Blue Car Park and Blue Campsite.
Please display your car parking ticket on your windscreen and have your concert tickets ready for inspection before arriving on site.

Blue Route from North: via M50 to N7 exit at Naas North (junction 9) to R445 and R410 to Punchestown.
Blue Route from South: via M7 exit at Naas North (junction 9) to R445 and R410 to Punchestown.
Red Route to Red Car Park and Red Campsite
Red Route from North: via M50 to N81 to Blessington to R411 to Punchestown.
Red Route from South: via M7 exit at Curragh / Newbridge (junction 11) to R413 to Athgarvan to Punchestown.’

Weather
As you know the weather in Ireland can be very unpredictable so be prepared for everything. Bring a mac, wellies and warm clothes in case the weather is less favourable and sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses for the sunnier occasion. Remember comfortable footwear, you don’t want the weekend spoiled with blisters or sore feet!

Your Safety
Please take responsibility for yourself and help us to help you by following these guidelines:

* Don’t drink and drive
* Use the -U R HERE’ maps or ask one of the Info Stewards for help and information if you get lost
* Remember to bring prescription medicines with you, in its original container
* If you need any medical attention or other assistance please visit the first aid points or welfare tents around site.
* Crowd surfing and Moshing is not cool and is dangerous to you and those around you so please DON’T DO IT! Also, lighting fires is dangerous and may be a criminal offence. Anyone engaging in such activities will be ejected without refund.

Trading
No unauthorised trading is permitted on or off site. Official merchandise and campaign equipment is available on site.

There will be CCTV all over the site 24 hrs. Please don’t light fires or engage in unsocial or illegal behaviour as you will be ejected without refund and may be arrested.
