The DIY music festival held each year where members of the public organize gigs throughout the month of October all over Ireland to raise money and awareness for Oxfam Ireland, Oxjam started here in Ireland 6 years ago and has since spread to the UK. Last year over 2000 gigs were held in October and since it started it has raised over €2m for Oxfam international projects.
This years’ proceedings are to culminate in the Oxjam wrap party on Sunday 30th October when Oxjam have teamed up with Bulmers and Music Maker along with 10 venues in Dublin’s Dame Quarter to hold a mini-festival with one ticket gaining gig-goers access to all shows. The Festival Wrap Party will feature a line-up including 7 Summits, Bi Polar Empire, Champagne Animal, Cocphon, Elavator, EleventyFour, Fiach, Fox E. & The Good Hands, Hassel Merchants, Junah, Katie and the Carnival, Leaders of Men, Louisiana 6, Me and the General, She’s a Beauty, The Dying Seconds, The Fibbs, The Gandhis, The Koubas, The Rockets, The Raglans, The Sazzy Katz, You Can Call Me Frances, More TBA + Very Special Guests
Venues include The Bankers, 4 Dame Lane, The Dame Tavern, The Exchequer, The Globe, The Mercantile, Ri Ra, The Stags Head, Uykio, Sweeny’s Downstairs & Sweeny’s Upstairs.
€5 tickets are available on the door or from the Oxjam HQ which will be located in the Oxfam Shop on South Great George’s street.
