Primavera Sound adds Portuguese edition

Primavera Sound have announced today that as well as their regular festival in Barcelona, they will be presenting a Portuguese edition of the festival a week after their regular one.

Optimus Primavera Sound happens one week after the main Barcelona festival from 7th to 10th of June in Porto so expect some (but maybe not complete) crossover in artists playing. Reasons cited for Porto being chosen include being by the sea, a pleasant climate, size, character and services.

Like Primavera Barcelona last year, several gigs under the banner Primavera na Cidade will be held in different locations around the city centre on the 7th and 10th of June. There will be four stages in total: one which will focus on experimental and dance music. ATP will commission a stage, the capacity will be 30,000 and there will be car park space for 10,000 vehicles.

Tickets cost €65 plus fees for the first 1000 tickets sold from Ticketline, Ticketmaster, Seetickets, Paypal and in Optimus shops (more information about the sales points at www.optimusprimaverasound.com).
