Republic Of Loose play First Fortnight college tour to raise awareness of mental health issues this week

First Fortnight, the mental health prejudice and discrimination awareness organisation returns for a college tour this year that takes place in University College Dublin, Waterford IT and Galway/ Mayo IT this week.

Republic Of Loose play each night of the event. A screening of the acclaimed RTE documentary series, I See A Darkness precedes Republic of Loose’s headline set on each day of the tour. Dublin took place last night.

The First Fortnight event is being staged in association with Union of Students of Ireland (USI), See Change, the National Mental Health Stigma Reduction Partnership, and Suicide or Survive (SOS).

October 11 – The Ruby Room@ Royal Theatre, Galway/Mayo IT Castlebar
October 12 – The Dome Bar, Waterford IT, Waterford

Tickets are on sale now to students through each of the college’s student unions.

First Fortnight will stage a 10-day arts festival in Dublin over 4 – 14 January 2012. Full details to follow in the coming weeks.
