Robert Babicz and Prins Thomas hit Twisted Pepper this weekend

Summer festival dance tents are a fading memory at this stage but the sun’s been out this week so let off some steam. Promoters Pogo and We Are Electronic are joining forces tomorrow for a night at Dublin’s Twisted Pepper, bringing over two of Europe’s heavy hitters.

German-based Polish pioneer Robert Babicz aka Rob Acid will be in the Basement playing an improvised live acid techno set with a backbone of warm melodies, blissed atmospherics and analogue bass, drawing on nearly two decades of experience in dance music.

There’ll be plenty of hopping between floors, as Norway’s Prins Thomas throws down a spaced-out cosmic disco set on the Stage. Always eclectic, expect Lindstrom’s long-time partner in crime to veer between electro, disco and proggy synth earworms, and hopefully some of his own productions or cuts from his Full Pupp label.

Doors open at 10.30pm, so get down to the Middle Abbey Street venue to catch sets from local techno don Giles Armstrong, Discotekken’s Louis Scully, Vertical Rhythm Joint and Jimmy Penguin. Tickets are €15 on the door, or €12 on this concession list.
