Robotnik State.ie / Club AU tickets

The State.ie / Club AU concept goes on the road this week with shows on Friday in Dun Laoghaire and Belfast on Saturday. Flying the flag for the State camp on both nights is the wonderful Robotnik, fast turning into one of the most innovative and interesting musicians in the country. Robotnik’s music is a mental adventure of pop, electronic beats and melodic musings on relationships, fantasies and twenty-something-dom. Robotnik has been extremely busy with the release of his critically acclaimed debut album ‘Pleasant Sqaure’ in 2008. In 2009 he has been excersising his Devo-esque performances alongside the likes of Laura Marling and Crystal Castles, has remarkably re-written the Pat The Baker jingle and is currently DJing on the all new digital radio station RTE 2XM. Joining Robotnik for the State Presents…. night at the Purty Loft on Friday will be Skuzzi Port, the dance / rock crew from the Plug Artists stable.

The following night the band travel north for the second Club AU vs State.ie night at Lavery’s in Belfast to play alongside The Jane Bradfords (down here last week with Ham Sandwich) and the marvelously named Misaligned Men Of Automaton. We have three pairs of tickets to give away to both shows. Just send your name to giveaway@state.ie with your gig of preference.
