State.ie talk & DJ Shadow public interview at Offset 2010

Offset 2010 is a seven day programme of talks, club nights, live performances and more taking place in Dublin culminating in a three day conference in Grand Canal Theatre from 1st to 3rd of October with presentations, interviews and debates. Offset has an eye on design, illustration, fashion, photography, publishing, advertising, animation and more.

One such interview has got us excited for the event. DJ Shadow will be in conversation with Jim Carroll on Friday 1st of October at 5pm before he plays Tripod that night.

The interview will range from ‘cut & paste’ music style, his collaborations with photographers, designers and film makers like Ben Drury, Will Bankhead, Paul Insect, B+, Marc Singer and Kar Wai Wong to his new visual rich live stage show. We really feel privileged as while Shadow’s profile has never been higher, he has increasingly shied away from music press and traditional forms of social networking.

State.ie will also be chairing a talk – ‘Does music need design anymore?’ Speakers will be announced.

Three-day tickets are priced at €150 at an early bird rate until the end of today with the price rising to €180 after. More ticket details including group rates and student discounts.
