State Lights play Whelan’s headliner

Rated by critics as one of the Ireland’s best new bands, Dublin’s own State Lights have announced their first ever headline gig in Whelanslive upstairs on Saturday, March 26th. The highly rated foursome of Shosby, Joe Regan, Noel Perry and Paul Ridgeway will be performing their storming, debut EP The Breakout, along with  some exciting new material, in an intimate live show organised by Aiken Promotions. After wowing audiences with their stunning vocals, U2-style riffs, and assured rock/pop playing style following performances at ‘Whelan’s Ones to Watch’ and at the BT Young Scientist Exhibition in 2015, State Lights will aim to kick-start the year off the same way they finished the last one. With The Breakout already peaking at number 6 on the Irish iTunes Albums Charts, and gathering significant airplay both nationwide and abroad in the process, a brand new EP (also set for release in March) and a headline show at Dublin’s favourite live music venue could just be the final springboard they need for their career to really hit the headlines.

Tickets for State Lights Whelanslive upstairs gig go on sale at all Ticketmaster outlets and at at 09:00am this Thursday, January 14th, and are priced at a measly €9.50 (inc booking fee).

Get them quick, as a chance to witness a career defining performance by Dublin’s next big band is not one to be missed!
