State vs AU….stage times, DJ details, Christmas gig news

We conclude our run of State vs… gigs for the year with the big one, the rematch they all wanted to see. It wasn’t so long ago that we did battle with them on the decks at this year’s HWCH, but tomorrow night will see us once more lock horns with AU Magazine, this time bringing real live bands into the equation. State vs….AU takes place at the Mercantile on Dame Street and will feature Grand Pocket Orchestra in the State corner, the Lowly Knights battling for AU and Cloud Castle Lake in the Introducing…. slot. As ever it costs nothing to get in and will run to the following times (we hope):

9.30pm – Cloud Castle Lake
10.20pm – The Lowly Knights
11.10pm – Grand Pocket Orchestra
12am – late – DJs Phil Udell / Niamh Hegarty

As we say, that’s it for the collaboration shows until the New Year (when we also plan to take them on tour, very exciting) as next month will see the return of the State Midnight Mass, this year with added live bands and in aid of Focus Ireland. We’ll be announcing some stuff about it soon but in the meantime put Dec 22nd in your diaries, it’s going to be a goodie. See you tomorrow night, let us know you’re coming here.

State: Ok, let’s put up a sweet video of our corner’s band and, quick, find the shittiest Lowly Knights video to put up. Suck it AU!

  • J, I don’t think you’re quite getting the idea. Thanks for the tip on this just released video, we’ve updated the post.

  • Maybe we should actually have a winner, t’would be pretty funny to orchestrate. Imagine how popular we’d make ourselves if one band got all the votes! πŸ˜›

Phil, just having a bit of craic! Great idea for gig promotion. Looking forward to the gig!
