State vs… the Dan Hegarty show free gig tonight

We’re heading back to the airwaves for this month’s State vs… live gig, with the mighty Dan Hegarty of RTE 2FM joining us in bringing you yet another night of fine Irish music. Heading the bill are Planet Parade, the Kildare three piece who featured in our Faces Of 2011 feature earlier this year on the back of their excellent Zulu Sound EP. Support comes from Cork electronic duo In Valour plus we are delighted to have Bearbones (yet another of our tips for 2011) playing one of their first ever live shows. As ever the Mercantile in Dame Street, Dublin is the place to head for at 9pm on this Friday (June 17th). It won’t cost you a penny to get in. Plus, from this month onwards, the gig is followed by Songs Of Praise Rock ‘n’ Roll Karaoke.
