Super Extra Bonus Party are preparing to release their second album Night Horses in May with a launch gig in Andrew’s Lane on May 15th. The launch night will take place in Andrews Lane Theatre on May 15th with guests to be confirmed. Tickets are €15 on sale today @ through Ticketmaster and other usual outlets.
Work began on Night Horses in July 2008, and since then the band have been writing and recording in Newbridge, Ardmore and Dublin. The album will feature many collaborators, all of which will be revealed closer to the date of release. The first single from the album will be -Radar’ which features Canadian MC Cadence Weapon.
Hailing from Newbridge, Kildare and Tallaght, Super Extra Bonus Party specialize in making upbeat eclectic music that takes in elements of indie and hip hop. Having toured across Ireland, the UK and Europe, SEBP have gained notoriety for their incendiary live performances. The core members of the band are Gavin Elsted, Stephen Conlon, Cormac Brady, Michael Donnelly, Gary Clarke and Stephen Fahey. In May 2007 the band released their debut album Super Extra Bonus Party, which went on to receive all round critical acclaim, including winning the Choice Music Prize for Irish album of the year (www.choicemusicprize.com).
