The Darkness reform for new album and Download Festival slot

In 2006 lead singer Justin Hawkins left the band to undergo rehabilitation for drug addiction leaving his brother Dan along with Frankie Poullain and Ed Graham to continue on without him. Five years on the original line-up of The Darkness are back together.

The reunited band will make their live comeback at the Download Festival in Donington, England on June 10th, sharing the bill with Bullet For My Valentine, Alter Bridge, Korn, Alice Cooper and Pendulum – the festival will be headlined by Def Leppard, System Of A Down and Linkin Park.

It has been reported that The Darkness are also working on new material with an album on the way, more news on that to follow.
