The Great Escape – Final acts announced

Cornershop, Angus and Julia Stone, The Invisible, Tinie Tempah and Harper Simon are amongst the final acts announced for this year’s Great Escape festival in Brighton from May 13-15.

In full the final acts announced are Angus and Julia Stone, Cornershop, Tinie Tempah, The Joy Formidable, Pulled Apart By Horses, Harper Simon, The Invisible, Alex Metric Live, Feldberg, Silver Columns, Eli -Paperboy’ Reed and The True Loves.

The new music event has become the biggest such showcase in Europe and is in line with global events such as SXSW in bringing together emerging bands from around the world.

Over the three days gigs, talks and discussion panels will take place at various venues around the British seaside city.

Groove Armada, Broken Social Scene, Marina and The Diamonds, Ellie Goulding and The Walkmen are amongst the big name draws, but it’s further down the bill that the more exciting talent can be found.

Brooklyn’s Here We Go Magic, Icelandic pop duo Feldberg and Sheffield’s Rolo Tomassi are among an eclectic bill that also includes Wild Beasts, Cold Cave, Stornoway, These New Puritans, The Sunshine Underground, Mount Kimbie, Delphic, The Fiery Furnaces, Ed Harcourt, The Lyrebirds, Gold Panda, Hurts, Jaguar Love, White Rabbits and The Slits.

Amongst the Irish acts set to appear include General Fiasco, Villagers, The Chakras, ASIWYFA and Fionn Regan.
Weekend tickets for the event cost £55 with priority tickets, getting you in quicker to the bigger demand shows, costing £90.
