The Killers for Oxegen headliner

After the genuinely exciting announcement that Blur would be headlining at Punchestown this summer, it’s back to the familiar faces with the news that the Killers are returning once more to head one of the nights. To recap where we’re at so far, the bill currently looks like this:

Kings of Leon, The Killers, Snow Patrol, Blur, Bloc Party, Razorlight, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Pete Doherty, Elbow, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Ting Tings, The Script, Katy Perry, White Lies, Fight Like Apes, Pendulum and Jason Mraz.

All the ticket info you need is right here.

Meanwhile, rumours are gathering pace that we might be seeing an appearance from this lot….

  • Blur – yes please.

The Killers? Come on. There’s only so many times you can recycle acts. Still, if they headline this year at least they’ll hardly headline (or maybe just not appear at all) next year. Unless that supposed cover album comes true and they start dragging U2 and Bruce Springsteen on stage with them.

  • Joe

Might see who? Some people don’t have youtube at work!

  • Joe – The Specials. Due for festivals dates this year it seems – Glasto, T in the Park and Oxegen. Now THAT would be worth seeing.
