Dublin City FM have announced their new Autumn schedule (full details in the statement below). To mark the occasion and to celebrate the 5th birthday of LiveDrive, the station are hosting a night in The Village, Dublin on Friday, September 24th. The Flaws, Miracle Bell and Joe Echo will all play. Tickets priced €5 are on sale from the WAV ticket office or from the door on the night.

We’re set tolaunch into Autumn with style bringing you a night of some of the best new Irish acts in the country – The Flaws, Miracle Bell and Joe Echo. The home to the only live interactive traffic radio programme ‘’LiveDrive’’ in conjunction with Dublin City Council’s traffic control centre. The programme celebrates it’s 5th birthday this month and has been instrumental in providing a unique service to commuters driving to and from work in Dublin City & County and neighboring counties.
On the music front the award winning ‘’Noise Annoys’’ returns on Monday nights midnight – 2am with Colm Hanley. On Tuesday nights from midnight – 2am a new dance programme will be broadcast, final details to be announced later. Mick Murray returns to the station with his entertaining ‘’Jazz Scene’’ programme on Monday afternoons from 2-3pm. These programmes will compliment our rich diversity of music programmes the station already broadcasts.
New talk programmes will include issues relating to art, life coaching, consumer and financial affairs. The schedule also sees the return of ‘’Mediascope ‘’ with Ellen Gunning and ‘’Speaker’s Corner’’ with John Herriott.
Dublin City fm is Ireland’s only Special Interest radio station. Broadcasting for the last 18 yearsacross Dublin City and County, Dublin City fm’s strong blend of talk and music based programming reflects a broad base of Dubliner’s concerns, interests and opinions.
Dublin City fm seeks to engage as broad an audience as possible. This includes some specific groups who are largely ignored by commercial radio stations, for whom we can provide a meaningful and relevant service. These include Niche Music Enthusiasts, Community and Ethnic Groups, Students and Schoolchildren, Historians and Hobbyists, Women’s Groups, Dublin Sport Enthusiasts and Senior Listeners.
Dublin City fm is also the home of Little Stevens Underground Garage (every Saturday, 10pm – Midnight) hosted by Bruce Springsteen guitarist and Sopranos actor Steven Van Zandt. Last year the station had the privilege of broadcasting the Underground Garage live from Tower Records in Wicklow St.
