Tripod & Crawdaddy reportedly close for business

Dublin has seemingly lost two of its major venues with news emerging over the weekend that the POD complex, including Crawdaddy and Tripod, has shut down. No official statement has been made as to the future of the venue, the reason for closure or what will happen to scheduled gigs over the coming weeks (indeed the venue’s website is operating as normal) but the Odeon next door has also ceased trading.

In other bad venue news, the Lower Deck in Portobello (once home to the Ballroom Of Romance) has suffered a similar fate.

Yeah, real clever Dickwad. Loads of other people have lost their jobs too. Hilarious aint it?
