Watch: Bantum & Loah – ‘Take It’

Premiered by our buddy Nialler9 yesterday, the new collaboration between electronic producer Bantum and Irish / Sierra Leonean soul singer Loah (pictured) is a treat. ‘Take It’, along with the accompanying video by by Peter O’Brien of Motherland. Setting the scene for two distinctly different, yet promising career paths for Bantum and Loah, ‘Take It’ is the first new material from Bantum since 2012’s debut Legion; as well as Loah’s first new track since 2014, and comes ahead of a debut EP due later this year.

Featuring hypnotic moves from dancer/choreographer Laura Sarah Dowdall, the video was shot late at night on the streets of Dublin using only lamplight to create a haunting atmosphere – it’s really quite mesmerising.

Bantum makes his first live appearance at the Dublin Food Co-op on Feb 20th, along with Cloud Castle Lake and Slow Moving Clouds (tickets here).
