Watch: We Cut Corners – ‘Oh’

Having recently announced their return to the long-player with new album The Cadences of Others, We Cut Corners have released the video for ‘Oh’, taken from their double a-sided single, ‘Oh’/’Mandinka’. As anthemic as ever, the track is deftly reflected by an accompanying video that crescendoes in tandem with rising guitars, rolling percussion, and emotive vocals. A warm glow supersedes bleak juxtapositions as the track builds, before giving way to autumnal atmospherics.

Typical, really, from a band that have managed to tow the line between rollicking indie and quietly melodic folk over the course of two albums so far, and with the forthcoming LP set to feature contributions from Villagers’ Conor O’Brien on bass, members of Booka Brass and the Fratres String Quintet, do make an effort to catch We Cut Corners as they embark on a short tour (dates below).
