From tonight until Saturday, over fifty new Irish acts will be playing in the Whelan’s complex as part of their annual Ones To Watch festival. Each day we’ll be bringing you our pick of the five acts that you won’t want to miss, starting with:
Engaging Dublin trio (pictured) who deal in version of alternative folk that’s heavy on the harmonies and not without drama.
A particular favourite of our own Alan Reilly, the New York based singer songwriter makes a rare visit home.
Dublin solo artist with hints of Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell and Kate Bush.
Experimental scrap yard folk from Cavan twin sisters.
Having recorded their debut album in Chicago, the Dublin trio have already outgrown their influences.
Tickets for Ones To Watch are €5 per day, €10 for the whole event.
