As you’ll have seen from our recent report on the Music City day, Derry’s turn as the UK City Of Culture has featured a lot of music alongside art, drama and other large scale events. The first week of November will see a combination of disciplines with the staging of Teenage Kicks The Punk Musical at the Millennium Forum. Written by award-winning novelist and screenwriter Colin Bateman (Divorcing Jack, Murphy’s Law), the show is set in the city during the mid ’70s and features not only punk rock but a classic love story, albeit with a boy trying to stick a safety pin through a girl’s ear.
Thanks to our friends at the Northern Irish Tourist Board, we have a pair of tickets to give away to one performance, complete with overnight accommodation at the Tower Hotel. To enter just tell us the name of the record shop owner who released the Undertones’ ‘Teenage Kicks’ on his own label and send your answer to email@example.com by 28th July.
